A History of the Shaffer – Miller – Schrawder Families was privately printed in 1980 as a spiral bound typescript of 410 pages. The author was Lois Green Schoffstall. Included in it are genealogies as well as maps, photos, copies of some documents, and a name index.
There are three sections:
Part I – The Shaffer Family. The Immigrant Franz Shaffer and His Descendants.
Part II – The Miller Family. Lawrence Miller, Samuel Miller, and Henry J. Miller and their Descendants.
Part III – The Schrawder Family. Early Schrawders and the Descendants of Frederick Schrawder.
The cover photo is of Deibler’s Gap Covered Bridge, which was built in 1852 over the Mahantongo Creek between Lower Mahanoy Township, Northumberland County, and Mifflin Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The bridge was destroyed in 1972.
This work is out-of-print. It sometimes can be found at genealogical libraries.

Lois is a good friend. Great to hear about another of her many accomplishments.
