EVENT CELEBRATED AT PINE GROVE
Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends, from as far as Ohio and Connecticut, as near as Pine Grove, gathered last Sunday at the Outwood Pavilion to Honor Mr. and Mrs. Adam W. Felty of 96 S. Tulpehocken Street, Pine Grove, on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary. Blue and white streamers and “diamond” mobiles, appropriate to the diamond anniversary, were used in decoration. Sixty-three people attended the party.
Mr. and Mrs. Felty were married December 23, 1911, at the Lutheran parsonage in Lebanon by the Rev. Herman Kroh. Mrs. Felty is the former Florence E. Newcomer. Mr. Felty is a retired coal miner. They are lifelong members of the Outwood Lutheran Church.
They have eight children: Mrs. Ada Zechman, Skaneateles, New York; Adam S. Felty, Schuylkill Haven; Mrs. Alma Gibson, Royersford; Mrs. Alberta Wolfe, Mrs. Alda Eichert, Arthur J. Felty, all of Pine Grove; Allen G. Felty, Syracuse, New York; and Mrs. Alice Ohlemacher, Norwalk, Ohio. They have 36 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. The wedding anniversary date, December 23, is shared by a son and daughter-in-law, Adam S. Felty and his wife, the former Jennie Nye, who have been married 33 years….
