An early 1960s aerial view of the farm that in 1875 was 32 acres and belonged to Benjamin Gise, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. As of this posting, the dates of construction of the buildings have not been determined.
Originally, there were two tracts that were granted to members of the Hoffman family by grants from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The farm, as it exists today, was formed from parts of those two tracts.
The Benjamin Gise farm in 1875 was located just west of the border of Gratz [gray area on map] in Lykens Township.
