A 1940 entertainment program at Lykens Valley Vocational School, Berrysburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, included “Smoky”, the black-face comedian. On-going research may prove that “Smoky” was “Smoky Styer,” a black-face entertainer who was a star of the ABC network into the 1960s.
