Mrs. Carrie M. Bonawitz, age 67 years, of Big Run, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Norman Romberger, Harrisburg, Wednesday afternoon. She had been in ill health for some time.
Mrs. Bonawitz was a daughter of the late Henry Grubb and Isabelle [Hess] Grubb and was a native of Washington Township where she had resided most of her life. Her husband, George A. Bonbawitz who conducted a dairy at Big Run for many years, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bonawitz was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church, Loyalton; Glen Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Lykens; and the Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge, Millersburg.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Norman Romberger and Mrs. Claud Troutman, of Harrisburg, and Mrs. William Byerly of Big Run, and a granddaughter, Janet Troutman.
Services will be held from the Buffington Funeral Home, Elizabethville, at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. H. M. Young, Pastor of the Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church, Loyalton, and Rev. Sydney E. Buxton, pastor of the Park Street Evangelical United Brethren Church, Harrisburg, will officiate and interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.
Friends may call at the Buffington Funeral Home Friday evening.
Members of the Order of Eastern Star, Lykens, will conduct services at the Funeral Home Saturday, at 1:30 P.M.
