CHESTER L. MATTER
Chester L. Matter, age 39 years, died at his home in Lykens Monday morning.
Mr. Matter was a son of the late William Matter and Sula [Lebo] Matter. He had been engaged in the grocery business in Lykens a number of years.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Matter; one son, Richard Matter, serving with the army in Georgia; two daughters, Mrs. James Bateman, Lykens, and Linda Bateman, at home; three grandchildren; and one brother, Mark Matter of Lykens.
Services will be held from the residence this Thursday afternoon. Rev. W., Z. Artz, pastor of the Lykens Valley Lutheran Parish will officiate and interment will be in the Gratz Cemetery.
