An undated picture post card view of the Clark’s Ferry Bridge crossing the Susquehanna River south of Dauphin Borough, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It is believed that this was the second bridge in this area and it replaced the original covered bridge that dated to the Civil War days. South of Millersburg, which had a ferry crossing in season, this was the only crossing to the west bank of the river before arriving at Harrisburg on the east side of the river. The bridge shown here was replaced in the 1990s by a more modern structure.
