Funeral services for Claude E. Hunter, age 55 years, of Tower City, were held from the residence Saturday afternoon. Rev. G. P. Stoudt, pastor of the Tower City Reformed Church, of which he was a member, officiated, and interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Hunter was found dead in the garage at his home by members of the family.
Mr. Hunter was a son of the late George Hunter and Eva [Adams] Hunter, and was a resident of Tower City most of his life. Earlier in life, he engaged in mining, and conducted a bakery in Tower City for many years. In more recent years he had been engaged in the coal and ice business with his two sons.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Margaret Hunter; two sons, Donald Hunter and Fred Hunter; a daughter, Mrs. William J. Perry of York, Pennsylvania; a sister, Mrs. William McCall of Philadelphia; and one brother, William Hunter of Wiconisco.
