FUNERAL FOR NAVY VETERAN [1949]
Private funeral services for S1C Dean N. Deibler, age 22 years, who was killed in the South Pacific Area, 27 May 1945, will be held from the Rothermel Funeral Home, Palmyra at 2 o’clock this Thursday afternoon. Rev. Thomas S. May will officiate and interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Annville.
Seaman Deibler was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Deibler. His father was a former resident of Curtin and his mother was formerly Miss Beatrice Hoover of Berrysburg.
He was graduated from the Hershey High School, class of 1942, and entered the Navy in April 1943.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Betty Deibler, at home; and three brothers, Robert Deibler of Carlisle; Walter Deibler, of Hershey; and Richard Deibler, stationed with the Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
