The North Pine Grove baseball park was the scene of many a thrilling battle. One of the Pine Grove teams that was involved in many of those battles is pictured here. Baseball of this particular era was the number one sport, with fans traveling on miners’ trains and every other available means to get to the place of the game.
This Pine Grove team was managed by Bill Fisher. It played against teams from Tremont, Cressona and Orwin in addition to other localities.
