Edward Schriver, 89, Is Fatally Stricken
Edward Schriver, 89, retired Pennsylvania railroad man, who resided with his daughter, Mrs. Jennie McLaughlin, 330 North Street, died early Wednesday morning at the Harrisburg State Hospital.
Mr. Schriver, Millersburg‘s oldest active angler, had been in good health until a month ago. He was born in Danville, 8 January 1861, and came to Millersburg from Elizabethville 25 years ago. He retired from the Pennsy service in 1930. Mr. Schriver was a member of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church , of this place, and the P.R.R. Retirement Association.
Surviving, in addition to the daughter, are two sons, Roy Schriver, Carlisle, and George Schriver, Island Park; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held from the Riegle Funeral Home, 512 Market Street, Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. George P. Stoudt officiating. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.
Relatives and friends may call at the Riegle Funeral Home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
