An undated advertising item (ink blotter) from Fauber and Snyder Cemetery Memorials, Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. A rubber-stamped addition for Charles H. Snyder is added on the left and right sides of the blotter.
The following information about this business was found in the souvenir book, History of Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, 1817-1967:
ELIZABETHVILLE MONUMENT COMPANY
This business on North Market Street was opened in January 1916 by E. D. Bingaman and J. Harvey Fauber and operated as the Bingaman & Fauber Monument Works. Upon his discharge from the United States Army, Charles H. Snyder bought the interest of Mr. Bingaman in January 1919 and it was operated by Fauber and Snyder until the death of Mr. Fauber in 1952. Mr. Snyder then operated the business until his death in 1964.
The following year, Owen C. Hoover who lives at No. 246 West Broad Street acquired the business from Mrs. Blanche M. Snyder, widow of Charles Snyder, and operates it as the Elizabethville Monument Company.
