This log house, shown in the 1920s when it was being re-sided, was built by Daniel Smith in the 1830s on the northeast corner of Main Street and Smith Avenue (now 449 West Main Street, Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania). In 1846, it was used as the first railroad office in Elizabethville. It was the main office for railroad business until the 1858 station was built on South Market Street.
