A photograph from the Roshon’s Studios, Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, taken about 1905.
C. S. Roshon conducted business in Elizabethville as a photographer from about 1902 when he purchased the Eby Studios. At this time, not much more is known about him except that he died in 1916 in Philadelphia. The type of photograph shown here was known as a “cabinet card” and measures the typical 4.5″ x 6.5″. According to information in the Elizabethville Echo of the time, Roshon provided these photographs at 25 cents each.
Identified in the cabinet card shown above:
Harrison Isaac “Jack” Sitlinger (1904-1953); Albert Leroy Sitlinger (1903-1973).
The two boys were the sons of Samuel Sitlinger and Bertha [Riegle] Sitlinger of Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. An older sister of the boys, Melva Sitlinger (1901-1985), later Postmaster of Loyalton, was not in this photo.
Other Roshon photos are sought, individuals identified or not identified, to post here.
