FORMER RESIDENT KILLED IN ACCIDENT
Mrs. Ella Elizabeth Zeigler, 83, a guest at the Home for the Friendless, Harrisburg, was struck and killed by a bus of the Harrisburg Railways Company on the Sixth Street Line at Muench Street that city, last Wednesday.
It is thought that Mrs. Zeigler was returning to the Home at Fifth and Muench Streets when the accident occurred.
A physician who accompanied a hospital ambulance to the scene said she died instantly of a compound fracture of the skull.
Mrs. Zeigler was the widow of Joseph Zeigler. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Simon Matter and was a native of Washington Township, and a former resident of Elizabethville.
She is survived by a number of nephews and nieces.
Services were held from the Hoover Funeral Home, Berrysburg at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. W. Z. Artz, pastor of Salem Lutheran Church, town, of which she was a member, officiated and interment was made in Maple Grove Cemetery.
