A photograph entitled “Erdman Boy Scouts in Parade” appeared in the Gratz Sesquicentennial Book in 1955. A closer examination of the photo indicates that scouts were dressed in what someone believed an Indian looked like – presumably in 1805 – at the time Gratz was supposedly founded. A few of the scouts have painted faces or bodies.
None of the individuals in the photo are identified.
