A 2010 photograph of the section of the Gratz History Mural featuring the early Gratz schools: (1) at left, the Frame School, which housed grades 1 through 5; and (2) at right, the Brick School, which housed grades 6 though 11. Gratz never had a full high school through the 12th grade.
On May 30, 2005, a 75-foot wall mural entitled “A Walk Through History” was dedicated in the Community Building in Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, commemorating 200 years of Gratz history and recognizing the people from the past and present who together have made Gratz “a place to call home.” A small portion of the mural is pictured above.
