Gratz Fair a Failure
The Gratz Fair thus far has had a very small attendance owing to continued rains. The fair closed last evening. There is a desire among some of the people of Lykens and Williams Valley to have a fair ground located somewhere between Lykens and Williamstown close to the Williams Valley Railroad. The objection against the Gratz Fair is that it has very poor transportation facilities. The nearest railroad being at Georgetown or Elizabethville, each no less than fifteen miles from the grounds.
