Horse Racing Recall Bell
This race was used prior to the introduction of the automobile horse race starting gate in 1946. Life-long and Presiding Judge George Adams was responsible for ringing the bell.
The Gratz Agricultural and Horticultural Society, formerly the Gratz Driving Park and Agricultural Society, dedicates this monument to all the men and women that have worked to make the “Gratz Fair” a success and long standing event in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
