The following news briefs were published in the “Gratz News” section of a local newspaper, for the week of November 7, 1934:
C. U. Kratzer made a business trip to Elizabethville, Saturday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Guy Klinger and daughter of Lykens, spent Wednesday evening in town.
The following visited at the the home of Harry Hepler and family on Wednesday evening: Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Rowe and children of Williamstown; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Enders and family, of Lykens; Mr. and Mrs. John Minnich and Children and Mrs. Edward Minnich, all of Wiconisco.
Ella Witmer , of Valley View spent several days at the home of her father, Jacob Witmer and family.
Clarence Portzline and family, of York, spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Fidler.
Miss Emma Lubold, of Harrisburg is spending some time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lupbold.
Mr. Guy L. Kratzer, of Temple University, Philadelphia, spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. U. Kratzer and family.
Louis Knohr, of Elizabethville, spent the week end at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Knohr.
Mr. and Mrs. Austin Rothermel are spending some time in the Hunter’s Camp at Potter County.
Howard Miller, of Bettysburg, was a caller in town here during the week.
Miss Grace Deppen, who is employed at Millersburg, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Deppen.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Umholtz, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Klinger and Miss Ursula Klinger, of Williamsport spent during the week among relatives and friends in this place.
Misses Sara Coleman and Ethel Coleman visited among friends in Halifax on Wednesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kissinger and daughters Lorae Kissinger and Geraldine Kissinger, of Williamstown, spent Sunday at the home of the former’s mother, Mrs. John Reigel and family.
William Laudenslager, of Halifax, called at the home of Harry Hepler and family, Saturday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dietrich and son Blair Dietrich, of Lykens, spent Sunday with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Bowers.
Mr. and Mrs. William Miller and daughter Gloria Miller spent Sunday visiting among relatives in Wiconisco.
