INJURIES FATAL TO WORLD WAR VETERAN
Guy Yerger age 25 years, of Herndon, R. D. 1, injured in the collision of an automobile and tractor trailer truck on the highway near Pillow, 19 December [1945], died in the Community Hospital, Sunbury, on Saturday.
Yeager sustained a compound fracture of the hip and chest and internal injuries.
Yerger was a veteran of World War II and received his discharge from the Army, 30 December [1945].
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Yerger, two sisters, Mrs. Roy Shaffer, Herndon, R. D. 1, and Miss Pauline Yerger, at home; and three brothers, Harry Yerger, with the Army in Europe, and Homer Yerger, and Mark Yerger, at home.
Funeral services were held from the Rothermel Funeral Home, Herndon, at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Charles Herman, pastor of the Urban Lutheran Parish officiated and interment was made in St. Paul’s Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery.
