The front page of the Harrisburg Daily Independent, 15 March 1901, featured a story on the Halifax Bank Robbery that took place the day before in Halifax, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It also featured depictions of Charles Ryan, the cashier who was killed, a view of the outside of the bank, and a portrait of Teller Isaac Lyter.
The headline reads:
