The front page of the Philadelphia Inquirer, 16 March 1901, featured a story on the Halifax Bank Robbery that took place two days prior in Halifax, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It also featured depictions of Charles Ryan, the cashier who was killed, the three men who were arrested, views of the outside and the inside of the bank, and a drawing of the gun that was purportedly used in the killing.
The headline reads:
PLANS OF BANK ROBBERS WERE CAREFULLY LAID
