START WORK ON AIRPORT HANGAR
Work was started on the hangar for the Millersburg Airport last week by a contractor from that place. The hangar will be large enough to accommodate several planes. Work has been in progress for some time clearing and leveling the tract. The airport is located about three miles east of Millersburg in Upper Paxton Township and will be operated by Marion Gilbert, pilot, and his grandfather, Dr. Marion Ulrich.
Gilbert has named the port, the Robinson Field in honor of F. A Robinson of Redwood, California. Robinson who was in the U.S. Air Mail Service at the time, was killed when his plane crashed into telephone cables strung from Berries Mountain to Mt. Patrick, across the Susquehanna River near Millersburg. The accident occurred in September, 1920.
