HARRY BOWMAN, 31, DIED THIS MORNING
Harry M. Bowman, well known resident of town, died this Thursday morning in the Polyclinic Hospital at the age of 31 years. following an operation to which he had submitted last Thursday.
Mr. Bowman was the son of Isaiah Bowman and Ida [Miller] Bowman. He was a native of Halifax Township, but had been a resident of this community [Elizabethville] most of his life. His father preceded him in death about twenty-five years ago.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of town, and was a former member of the Church Council, and President of the Luther League. At the time of his death he was serving as secretary of the Sunday School, and was head of the ushers’ association of the church. Mr. Bowman was also a member of the Reliance Hose Company of town and the Elizabethville Council Royal Arcanum lodge.
His mother is the only immediate survivor.
Funeral services will be held from the Buffington Funeral Home at 10 o’clock Monday morning. Rev. W. Z. Artz, pastor of the Lykens Valley Lutheran Parish, will officiate, and interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
The body my be viewed at the Buffington Funeral Home Sunday evening.
