The stamped corner of a penny post card circular date stamped at the post office at Hickory Corners, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, April 29, 1913.
The stamp used was issued in 1913 to commemorate the Panama-Pacific Exposition which was held in San Francisco, California, from February 20, 1915 to December 4, 1915, and features a portrait of Vasco Nunez de Balboa. The earliest known date of sale for the stamp is January 1, 1913. It would have been unusual for such a small post office in a rural area to have a stock of this stamp.
