LOSES LIFE IN HIGHWAY ACCIDENT
Howard E. Miller, age 47 years, of Lykens, an employee at the Dauphin County Home, Harrisburg, was killed when struck by an automobile while attempting to cross Highway Route 422 near the institution, Saturday evening.
It was reported the accident occurred when Miller stepped in front of the vehicle. The car, police stated, was operated by Harry R. Stein, of York R. D. 6.
Assistant Coroner Frank Heidel stated that death was due to fractures of the scull and left arm and internal injuries.
Miller who was a veteran of World War I, was a member of the American Legion Post of Lykens.
He is survived by a brother, Harry Miller, of Philadelphia, and a sister, Mrs. Kathryn Short, of Lykens.
