It is believed that the barn was erected about 1875.
Isaac Sitlinger‘s farm was part of two larger tracts that were granted to the Umholtz family by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The location of the 1875 Isaac Sitlinger farm is shown on the map cut above. Located just north of the Geise School, it was an integral part of the Specktown community.
