Jewish Giants Under the Lights At Tremont Tonight
The Tremont management has booked several outstanding attractions for night games at the local park.
Tonight the Philadelphia Jewish Giants will be the attraction, the game starting at 8:30 standard time. The Jewish Giants, composed of leading college and professional stars, come to Tremont with the imposing record of 29 victories in 33 games this season. Their record includes victories over some of the outstanding ball clubs in the United States.
Their mound ace is Marty Silverstein, former college star, who had the unusual record of winning thirty games in his college career without a defeat. Bud Kelly, who was the property of the New York Yankees for several seasons, will share the mound duties with Silverstein.
The Jewish boys line up with: Charles Voght, center field; Harry Griver, shortstop; Joe Gordon, right field; Bill Lane, left field; Phil Leiby, 1st base; Jim Weiner, 2nd base; Eddie Wynne, 3rd base; John Gregor, catcher; Marty Silverstein, pitcher; Bud Kelly, pitcher.
