The following article appeared in the Lykens Standard of November 13, 1969:
“Kingfish” of the Amos ‘n Andy radio show will sing and preach at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Wiconisco. The Rev. Jimmy Willis, the original Kingfish of the world famous radio show, will conduct a week of revival services at the Wesley Church this Sunday, November 16 to the 23.
After rejecting God’s call to the ministry for many years and becoming totally incapacitated for five years, Jimmy was converted and miraculously healed. The public is invited to his Spirit anointed singing and ministry.
A second week of revival fellowship will be held at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Wiconisco. This series begins on Sunday, November 30 [1932] and extends to Friday, December 5. Both weeks of service begin at 7:00 p.m. with a period of inspirational singing, with the preaching service, featuring the Rev. Jimmy Willis of Los Angeles, California, commencing at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Lloyd McClarren and the officials of the Calvary and Wesley Churches extend a cordial invitation to hear this man’s amazing life story.

REV. JIMMY WILLIS RETURNS TO WICONISCO CHURCH
The Rev. Jimmy Willis, the original “Kingfish” of the Amos ‘n Andy radio program, will be singing and speaking in the Calvary United Methodist Church of Wiconisco.
Revival Services held in the Wesley Church last week, will resume in the Calvary Church, Sunday, November 30 [1969], at 7:30 p.m. The former radio entertainer will speak and sing each evening until and including Friday, December 5th. Each preaching service will be preceded by a song service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
