Can any blog reader give the significance of the airplane?

The same family that owned Spread Eagle also owned and operated the Gratz Airport (now MI)
Hi. I started working for Spreads Eagle Farms as an A and P aircraft mechanic. I worked at the Reading Airport for Flying Eagle Aviation which was owned by Spread Eagle Farms. Elwood Willard owner of The farm and egg business in klingerstown learned to fly and started the aviation fixed base operation. I was employed untill they closed the business. I was there about 5 years. I went on to a career in Corporate Aviation which lasted 40 years. Spread Eagle Farms owned a Jet Commander. I served as copilot. I have pictures and knew just about everyone. If you would like more information give me a call at 215-806-3297. I live in Reading. By the way the airplane in the picture is an AeroCommander 680. It was used to fly Elwood and his wife around on business. His family was large and we bought a DC-3 to fly his whole family. Give me a call or email. Bob “Zop” ZOPPEL.

I dated Sandy Willard in the late 70’s. I believe she was the # 3 child and 2nd oldest girl. I am curious if you remember her. I only met Elwood one time because he was working in the Middle East at the time. I think the family had 13 children and one was a special needs child.
