An undated photograph, possibly from around 1920, of a reunion or anniversary celebration of the Levi Umholtz family at a house in either Gratz or Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Levi Umholtz was born on 30 August 1853, in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, the son of John Henry Umholtz (1834-1903) and Catherine [Kocher] Umholtz. He married Mary “Polly” Radel on 3 October 1875 and with her had at least 14 known children. Levi died on 25 November 1933 in Elizabethville and is buried at Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz.
Levi and Mary appear in the center of the back row of the main photo and are shown in the inset above. None of the other individuals pictured are identified.
Previously on this blog, the Levi Umholtz family was pictured twice, and both pictures appear to be at the same house. This new photo is also at the same house.

The mystery is of the location of the house. In the 1920 Census, Levi Umholtz was living in Gratz along the Main Road. In the 1930 Census, Levi was living in Elizabethville on Franklin Street.
The first two photos were published in a Gratz history as part of the history of a property across from the Gratz Fairgrounds. That property was purchased in 1921 by Levi’s son, Homer L. Umholtz and at the time was said to have a two-story frame dwelling. At some point in time that house may have been demolished.
Can any blog reader solve this mystery?
