An undated picture post card view of the Northern Central Railroad Station at Liverpool, located north of Millersburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, on the east bank of the Susquehanna River. Liverpool was actually located in Perry County, Pennsylvania, on the west bank of the river and a ferry dock was located about 15 feet below the station on the river bank from which passengers and freight were moved back and forth across the river. Passengers used stairs behind the station. The hoist shown in the photo was to facilitate the loading and unloading of freight from the ferry to the station or vice versa. The men on the train platform are not identified.
