A 1905 photograph of the Lehigh Valley railroad station at Lost Creek, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
The caption with this photo included the following:
The mule-drawn wagon at left is from Packer No. 4 Colliery, driven by Fred Jones McLaughlin, who was probably waiting for a train to drop off supplies for the colliery. The youngster on the platform at right is not identified, but the adults are, from left: Owen McLane, station agent; Don McCormick, telegrapher; Mike Dixon. All were residents of the Deansville section of Lost Creek. In 1905, the Lehigh Valley railroad had tracks running through Girardville into Ashland, which was the western terminus of the branch.
