From the Lykens Standard, October 19, 1906:
Dietrich’s Cafe
For our opening day, Saturday last, we had provide more than we expected to dispose of; but, long before closing time we were cleaned out and scores were turned away disappointed, for which we offer an apology. We have enlarged our dining accommodations, and will hereafter be able to serve all who come. Tomorrow and evening, exceptionally fine bill of fare and many new beverages. We highly appreciate the liberal patronage we are receiving and shall endeavor always to serve the best of everything to be had in our line.
Respectfully,
F. P. DIETRICH & SON
