Few business men of Lykens been more successful than H. E. Henry who came here from Harrisburg a few years ago and has since by energy and a superior knowledge of baking developed a more prosperous business. Mr. Henry’s bakery is equipped with a modern oven, electric dough mixer and other up-to-dare appliances, making his shop a model of perfection in every way. It has always been the aim of Mr. Henry to supply his customers with as fine a grade of goods as could possibly be produced and today there is scarcely a family in Lykens or the surrounding country, but what has a good word to say for Henry’s bread, pies and cakes. Only the very best of flour, butter, eggs and other ingredients are used and these together with the skill of expert bakers insures a perfect product. Mr. Henry is looked upon here as a man of much energy and by honorable dealings producing a superior line of supplies and adopting progressive tactics, has met with a success that has been well deserved. His standing in the community is high and he is regarded as the most successful baker ever in the borough. He is a member of the Business Men’s Association and local lodge of Heptosophs.
