A group photograph of the students and teacher of the Geise School, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, taken about 1904. This was one of the township’s one-room school houses in operation at the time. It served the community of Specktown in Lykens Township.
The only individual identified thus far is in the back row (standing), fifth from left: Helen [Hoffman] Dietrich.
The school was also known as the Gise School and was in existence for 100 years from about 1854 to 1954 when it closed and students from this part of the township began attending school in Gratz Borough.
