A photograph take in 2012 of the exterior of the Kessler School in Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
The school was also known as the Erdman School and was the last-built of the Lykens Township one-room school houses. It was the only frame building of the schools in the township, all the rest being red brick. Originally painted white, it was only after it ceased being a school that a new owner painted it red.
According to a letter sent to the Upper Dauphin Sentinel, the school closed in 1958.
