A photo from a 1990 newspaper clipping showing the old trolley line on Market Street, Lykens, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The view is looking south and the trolley is heading north. The location of the photo could be where Market Street intersects North Third Street, North Second Street, or North First Street. The date the photograph was taken is also not known and the newspaper clipping speculates that it was in the early 1900s.
This trolley line began at the Pennsylvania Railroad Station at Lykens, and turned east on Market Street as it moved toward its destination in Tower City, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
No, view is looking north on Market St. Building on the left is on South Second St, caught fire in the 1960s. Train station is on the right, out of the picture.
