An undated post-Civil War photograph of a canal boat tied up near the Lykens Valley railroad pier at the Wiconisco Canal, Millersburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Coal from the mines at Short Mountain (Bear Gap) was sent by rail to this point, then loaded onto canal boats to be sent south toward Harrisburg.
