A snapshot photograph from the mid-1940s of Melva Sitlinger (1901-1985), right, and her daughter, Lucy [Sitlinger] Troutman, left, and granddaughter, Judy [Troutman] Kleinbauer, center, at the Samuel Sitlinger farm and homestead at Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The main barn can be seen in the background.
It is believed that this photo was taken on Easter Sunday. At the time, Melva was the postmaster of Loyalton, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Melva was the last person to hold the title and position of Postmaster of Loyalton, and was followed by her daughter Lucy who served Loyalton as a clerk operating out of the Lykens Post Office.
