Melvin Lettich, 25, of Fearnot, Schuylkill County, was killed when caught beneath a fall of coal at an independent mine operation near Ashland, Friday afternoon.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Jacob Lettich, one sister and four brothers: Helen Lettich, Arthur Lettich, Roy Lettich, Ivan Lettich, and Earl Lettich, all at home.
Funeral services were held from the residence Wednesday morning with further services in Klinger’s Lutheran and Reformed Church at Erdman. Rev. P. C. Schierer, pastor of the Lykens Valley Reformed Charge officiated and interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
