Michael Carl “Mike” Lebo was born August 22, 1958, in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. From the 1978 through the 1981 seasons, he played baseball as a catcher and first baseman with minor league affiliates of the Toronto Blue Jays of the American League. In 1982, his last year as a professional player, he played for a New York Yankee minor league team at Greensboro, North Carolina.
Mike’s father was Carl Lebo Jr., who played for the a minor league team of the National League’s Brooklyn Dodgers in 1954. The Lebo family was from Upper Dauphin County, but Mike Lebo grew up in Harrisburg.
In 2002, Mike Lebo was an inductee in the Capital Area Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
