Is this Heckert related to Lenora Heckert, kindergarden teacher in the 50’s at Moore St elementary?
I just checked on http://www.findagrave.com and yes, he was LeNora’s spouse. She was my teacher in 1958-1959. A sweetheart. too!
The wife of Carbon Heckert was the former Lenora Beaver. At the time of her marriage (1932) to Carbon, she was a teacher in the New Cumberland Schools. If the Millersburg teacher you refer to was about 40 years old in the early 1950s, then its probably the same person.
