MILLERSBURG AIRPORT DEDICATION JULY 12-13 [1930]
Congressman H. H. Doutrich is to be present at Robinson Field for the dedication on Saturday. Senator Davis will fly to Robinson Field picking up County Commissioner Harvey Taylor at Middletown Air Depot. All have consented to take part in the dedication ceremony.
Lieutenant J. Morgan Harding, test pilot for United States Aircraft Corporation, will attempt an outside loop for the Shenk & Tittle Aerobatic Trophy Contest on Sunday afternoon.
Millersburg Boys’ Navy Band to attend both days’ events and supply concerts during intervals.
An entry from J. Shelly Charles of Richmond, Virginia, received this morning stating two other ships would accompany him Richmond.
John Vickers of Philadelphia will arrive with Standard Oil Company beautiful Red Robbin “STANOVO.”
Parachute jumpers from all over the East have signified their attentions of attending.
Lykens Valley Airways operators of Robinson Field Airport have competed arrangements to entertain the large number of notable flyers who will be at the field for the Dedication and Air Races, July 12-13th.
A banquet is scheduled for 8:30 Saturday evening at Hotel Lykens.
Immediately following the banquet at the Hotel Lykens, the guests are to attend a ball being staged at the Moose Home also in Lykens; the public is invited to attend both affairs.
According to Pat Brooks, Director of programme for the Air Races, the… schedule will be adhered to as is possible….
