BOYS FIND BODY OF MISSING MAN ALONG CREEK SUNDAY
While walking along the bank of the Wiconisco Creek, near Tower City, Sunday afternoon, two Tower City boys discovered the body of a man, later identified as that of Jesse F. Boyer, 64, of Pottsville, who had been reported missing six weeks ago. The body was partially out of the water.
The boys, Clyde Thompson, 12, and John Nolan, 13, told Police Office Kopp, of Tower City, of their discovery, and Kopp in turn notified the State Motor Poloice. The body was identified by Victor Boyer, a son of the deceased.
The man’s death has been attributed to accidental drowning.
The body was found at a point several hundred feet off the Tower City–Lykens highway.
