On the back of the block is the following description of the old bank:
OLD HALIFAX NATIONAL BANK
Halifax, Pennsylvania
The brick structure was built in 1853 by the Odd Fellows. It was used by the first bank in town from 1871 to 1900, then the Halifax National Bank organized and continued business in the building until 1912. It was in this building that the bank robbery took place March 14, 1901.
