A colorized photograph of the students and teachers of the Outwood School, near Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, taken about 1915, and was loaned to the Pine Grove Press Herald by Mrs. Miles Lehman of Pine Grove, for use in the newspaper’s “Down Memory Lane” feature on May 22, 1975. Mrs. Lehman couldn’t identify all the students, so readers were asked to submit names.
A week later, the Press Herald published a letter from Mrs. Miles Lehman, in which she provided the names:
