The North Pine Grove baseball park was the scene of many a thrilling battle. This is one of the Pine Grove teams which was involved in many of those hectic clashes, which held the entertainment spotlight for many years. Baseball of this particular era was the number one sport, with fans traveling on miners’ trains and every other available means to get to the scene of the game. The team pictured here was managed by Bill Fisher. It campaigned against clubs such as Tremont, Cressona and Orwin.
