K. K. K. FUNERAL IN ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY — Forty hooded Klansmen joined American Legionnaires at conducting burial services at the grave of James L. Mann, Washington, D. C., fireman, and world was veteran.
The photo caption stated:
There was no indication that the funeral had any connection with the area of coverage of the Pottsville Republican.
When presented without critical commentary, photos such as this helped normalize the Klan.
